Update - Winter Garden Police: West Orange High football coach arrested.

Winter Garden, Fla — The head football coach at West Orange High School has been arrested by Winter Garden Police on charges of domestic violence.

We obtained the complete arrest affidavit which shows Robert Head, 44,  is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

He was arrested at his Winter Garden home after an argument with his wife.

Once his father left the house,  the couple’s son called police after he found his mother on the floor with a bloody head wound.

The report states Mr. Head used a decorative wood and iron frame to hit his wife from behind as she walked away.

Michelle Head declined to press charges, but the Winter Garden police found enough evidence to arrest the coach.

Mr. Head was booked in the the Orange County Jail Monday and a judge denied him bond Tuesday.

Mr. Head has been working in Orange County since 2005 where he started as the head football coach at Olympia High School and began coaching the West Orange Warriors in 2013.

The West Orange High School website also lists Mr. Head as a Physical Education teacher.

Prior to working in Florida, Head worked in South Carolina and Kentucky.
