Thanks to offensive name, UK man can't get passport

Thinking it would be funny, a UK man had his name legally changed from Kenny Kennard to Fu-Kennard.

Unfortunately, the people at the passport office aren't laughing.

Speaking to The Mirror, the 33-year-old supermarket worker has been told he won't be able to receive travel documents, "on grounds that my name could cause offense or was vulgar."

Fu-Kennard was told he could appeal the decision to his elected representative, but was informed the MP wouldn't take up the case.

The only way out is to change his name back or to something more acceptable.

"It's just a joke. Fu-Kennard is not offensive, and I object to them denying my chosen name," he tells the paper, adding, "Now I'm skint with no passport, like a prisoner in my own country."
