Orlando woman uses Linkin Park lyrics to save suicidal jumper

Orlando, Florida - — Cristina Settanni was driving down the 408 when she spotted a man sitting on the ledge of an overpass.

Worried he was going to jump, she pulled over to talk to him.

In a video posted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Settanni explains she sat beside him, trying to keep him calm, when a piece of lyric from Linkin Park’s “One More Light” popped into her brain.

"Who cares if one more light goes out?... I do," she recited to the man.

"I don't know if it clicked with him, but he just cried," Settanni says.

Deputies eventually showed up and took the man off the ledge.

He was transported to a mental health care facility.

"One More Light" is the title track from Linkin Park's last album, which was released just two months before frontman Chester Bennington died by apparent suicide in July 2017.

The song became a rallying cry for fans following Bennington's death.
