Orlando, Fla. — Blue Bell Ice Cream is recalling it's half-gallon containers of butter crunch after pieces of broken plastic were found.
The Food and Drug Administration's website says pieces of a broken plastic tool might have ended up in the ice cream during the production process at a plant in Alabama. Texas based, Blue Bell is recalling the ice cream as a precaution.
The recall involves half-gallon containers with the production code: 08-26-21-222.
They were distributed to multiple states, including Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
Consumers who have bought the ice cream can return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
