The Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested multiple people over the weekend for illegal ATV driving.
In a release, ORCO says they’re are aware of ongoing illegal motorcycle and ATV in the county, which they call a “nationwide problem.”
Through “investigative means,” deputies knew there would be illegal ATV riding this past weekend, so they set up surveillance locations to identify and arrest people.
“Due to the type of vehicles operated by these individuals, it is easier for them to flee and elude our apprehension efforts and thus making it difficult to identify the driver,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote. “Our deputies, along with other law enforcement agencies, work diligently to stop this illegal activity which puts the public in imminent danger.”
A video they posted on Facebook shows various ATV and motorcycle riders speeding on the Florida Turnpike. At one point they make an illegal U-turn, clipping and forcing a car off the road.
OCSO is aware of the dangers illegal Motorcycle/ATV activity poses to the public. This behavior will not be tolerated...
