Watch: Coyote sends clear message that he doesn’t like cameras

Venice, Fla. — A Florida woman says she feels trapped inside her home every night by a nuisance coyote.

Melanie Wolf Alkema wrote on Facebook that she thought she would try to learn more about the creature and it’s habits by setting up cameras outside her Venice home.

She bought several security cameras and last Thursday, set one up on the path to try to determine which direction from which it was coming.

The creature clearly did not appreciate being on camera.

The video shows it walking right up to it , sniffs it, then it moves over the top and lifts its leg.

You guessed it - the coyote urinated right on top of the camera!

Alkema posted the video on Facebook writing “ I certainly did not expect THIS response.”

We have a coyote who visits our property every night. Last month, I bought several wireless outdoor security cameras and have tried to determine the path of the coyote. This evening, I placed a camera on the ground near the path of the coyote to see which direction he is entering our property from. I certainly did not expect THIS response. 😱 Link in comment below. In one of her comments she wrote, “I guess he told me!”

She has contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission about the nuisance coyote, but they say they are unable to help.

Her video though, is going viral.
