Orlando man broadcasts shootout with deputies live on Instagram

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating a shooting involving Orange County deputies.

It happened Wednesday night at the Citra at Windermere apartments near the intersection of Silverlake Park Drive and Winter Garden Vineland Road.

Deputies visited the apartment complex to question Laforest Duron Gray Jr., 23, about a domestic violence incident reported by neighbors.

Gray broadcast his interaction with deputies live on Instagram.  Fore more than 6 minutes, Gray can be heard shouting obscenities and threatening deputies when, seemingly out of nowhere, gunfire erupts.

According to the arrest affidavit, Gray fired first and deputies fired back.

No one was hit by the gunfire, but Gray had to be treated overnight for dog bites from a K-9 deputy.

Gray was booked into the Orange County Jail early Thursday morning.  He’s scheduled to appear before a judge in the afternoon.
