Orlando, Fla. — In the first of multiple changes this week, the entrance ramp to westbound I-4 from Princeton Street will shift slightly.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the new configuration of the Princeton Street on ramp helps to mitigate construction conflicts with the Ivanhoe Boulevard off ramp.
“The area on westboudn I-4 between Par and Ivanhoe are going to turn into a ramp system, which is what a lot of people were experiencing on the eastbound side no too long ago,” said Jessica Ottaviano with FDOT.
The Ivanhoe Boulevard off ramp was previously closed so crews could make modifications to make the ramp safer.
In this world, nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes AND temporary ramp configurations to I4. Check out this cool animation from @I4Ultimate showing the next 'combo' ramp opening as soon as Tuesday morning! pic.twitter.com/AKt7Gbkc4V

“Nightly full closures of roads and ramps will be necessary to implement traffic shifts and demolish the old bridges,” says FDOT in a news release.
