Orlando, Fla. — What was supposed to a dream vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth became a "holiday from hell".
According to the New York Post, 35 year old Michael Atwal-Brice and his family flew from England and spent $13,000 on their trip. However, once they got to their hotel room, Michael described it as "You wouldn't put a dog in there."
Michael and his husband claims that when the family checked into their Caribbean Beach Resort Hotel room, they found that it had dead cockroaches on the floor, exposed wiring, dirt across some of the surfaces, and "a used condom on the bed."
This does not help his family as Michael revealed that his adopted twin sons are autistic, epileptic and non verbal, so due to the exposed wiring "they could easily stick their fingers in that".
Michael and his husband also claimed that they have even called ahead of time to ensure the room was cleaned, but did not get a response. They say they requested a refund, but were denied and were eventually moved to the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
In a statement, a Disney world rep said " This family has received compensation from us numerous times over the past five years, and they continue to return. Regarding their current visit, we believe the guest claims are exaggerated, and again took several steps to enhance their vacation."
