LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office say a Tavares High School athletic trainer bought alcohol for students and partied with them this month.
Kyle Rentschler, 31, is an athletic trainer at the school and currently lives in Mount Dora. Deputies accuse him of meeting with several students at a Winn Dixie on March 12 and buying alcohol for them.
He and the students drank in the Paisley area of the Ocala National Forest, and deputies say he even had one of them drive him to the store for another booze run.
Investigators say they became aware of the party after a party contacted deputies with a video.
Rentschler is charged with three counts of selling, giving and serving alcoholic beverages to person under 21, and two counts contributing to delinquency or dependency of a child.
