California lawmakers consider bill that would allow parents to bring kids to work

If California lawmakers give their approval, every day could be Bring Your Baby to Work Day.

Proposed legislation, dubbed the Bring Baby to Work Bill, is being considered that will allow state workers to bring their offspring to the workplace.

In accordance with the proposal, workers will be allowed to take advantage of the bill if their kids are between 6 weeks and 6 months old, or until they're old enough to walk -- whichever comes first.

"It’s so important for young families to bond with their infant," says Assembly member Randy Voepel, the sponsor of the bill.
