NJ school teacher accused of having sex with six boys

A New Jersey teacher is accused of having sex with as many as six of her students.

Essex County prosecutors say Nicole DuFault had sex with the boys, ages 14 and 15, dozens of times at Columbia High School and in her car in the parking lot of the school between 2013 and 2014.

According to prosecutors, one of the encounters was recorded by another boy.

On Tuesday, DuFault, 35, was indicted on 40 counts of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.

NBC 4 New York reports DuFault is being held on $500,000 bond.

The local school district issued a written response saying in part, "The allegations released by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are deeply disturbing."  District officials have promised to cooperate with investigators.
