Universal Orlando unveils plans for ‘value-driven’ hotels

After months of speculation, Universal Orlando Resort is sharing new details about the hotel properties coming to the land where Wet ‘n Wild once stood.

A press release lays the groundwork for a combined 2,800 guest rooms across two new hotels designed to be “value-driven” with nightly rates blow $100 per night. The hotels are set to open in the summer of 2019.

Despite the lower price tag, the hotel options will include a variety of amenities including three pools, two food courts, bars, fitness rooms, and car rental facilities. Guests will also get early park admission to the resort’s three theme parks.

According to the press release, the hotels will be build on a 64-acre site at the intersection of Universal Blvd. and International Drive. They will be the resort’s seventh and eighth hotels. Room reservations open up in early 2018.
