Still running for president, Donald Trump launches 'Trump TV'

In what could be a preview of post-election "Trump TV" if Donald Trump loses the presidential election, his campaign yesterday (October 24th) launched a new nightly show that will air via Facebook Live every night at 6:30 p.m. ET.

This effort, kicking off 15 days before the election, comes after a similar Facebook Live show by the Trump campaign last week that drew nine million views.

The show, which is being broadcast from the campaign digs at Trump Tower, will be hosted by senior adviser to the campaign Boris Epshteyn, conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, and Trump adviser Cliff Sims. It will stream Trump's rallies every night along with commentary before and after, and will have guests like campaign manager KellyAnne Conway and campaign adviser Jason Miller, who both appeared in last night's first episode.

But those involved say this isn't about launching "Trump TV," but instead is a way to get around the mainstream media and communicate directly with supporters. Epshteyn said, "We all know how strong the left-wing media bias is. This is us delivering our message to voters. It has nothing to do with Trump TV. It's about using 21st century technology and communication in a way that's effective." Trump's digital director Brad Parcale explained: "It's an extension of our ad programs and our social media posts, The only difference is we're going to broadcast it live." (Wired)
