Cat hilariously photobombs live TV report on cougar sightings

HERNANDO, MISSISSIPPI — Someone's house cat in Mississippi is now an internet superstar for its perfectly-timed photobomb.

Fox 13 reporter Scott Madaus was teasing his upcoming story about various cougar sightings when the ordinary kitty got its close-up.

"I'm Scott Madaus, live in Hernando, Mississippi where there have been spottings of a cougar. And that's not it, that looks like a house cat."

The camera then pans to the seemingly sleepy cat just hanging out in a field and stays on the cat throughout the duration of the live tease. The caption on the screen reads "Large Cat Spotted."

Madaus admits the shot of the cat was planned but didn't expect it to become the internet gold that it is now. The video has racked up more than 69,000 views on Facebook.

The cat that stole the show. Not really sure how my live tease made social media let alone international social media. But here you go if you didn't catch it.
