Disneyland Christmas Parade Float Collapses, launching Santa out of his sleigh

Disneyland, California — It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon for guests at Disneyland, but this would certainly be a different Christmas story than the one you are probably used to.

During the Christmas Fantasy Parade which features a float with Santa on his sleigh, it broke, tipping over and launched the jolly red giant out of his seat as he dangled, waiting for the parade crew to give him a hand.

However, he still remained in good spirits, laughing, waving, and singing along to the parade music. Once he was free from the safety harness, he walked the remainder of the parade route.

Although maintenance issues at Disney parks are nothing new these days, a lesson can be learned from this: anytime you travel, whether it be in a car, a plane, or even on a sleigh, always buckle up. You might be glad you did.
