Video: Green Iguanas turn hot tub into gross porta-potty

West Palm Beach, Fla. — Green Iguanas have gotten a bad rap in South Florida, so much so, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has encouraged homeowners to take things into their own hands.

If you need to see why, well, here you go.

This video posted on Instagram by trapper Mike Kimmel shows the gross mess left behind after the iguana’s had what appeared to be a pool party at a home in West Palm Beach.

Kimmel is known as a python hunter, but also answers other calls.

He commented on the situation in his post, “This poor old lady and her husband have been terrorized by these iguanas long enough.”

Even worse, Iguanas carry salmonella, and the big green lizards are not only a nuisance but they also defecate a lot!

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has on its website that it "encourages homeowners to kill green iguanas on their own property whenever possible."

Experts caution acceptable methods of humane extermination are tricky and should be left to professional trappers.
