DENVER — Five people, including a toddler and another child, are dead after a fire that may have been intentionally set destroyed a house in Colorado.

According to The Associated Press, the fire broke out early Wednesday in Denver's Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. Denver firefighters arrived at the scene shortly before 3 a.m. and put out the blaze before discovering the bodies of three adults and two children, the AP reported. Witnesses said the dead, all family members, were originally from Senegal.
Three others who were inside the home during the fire jumped to safety, authorities said. Crews rushed them to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, according to the AP.

Denver police, firefighters and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the fire as a suspected arson, the AP reported.
