Dads spend 7 hours a year hiding from family in bathroom: Study

Do you use your bathroom as a way to escape from your family?

A recently resurfaced 2008 study is making the rounds that shows many men hide from their families in the bathroom.

A poll of 1,000 British men found that on average, they spend seven hours each year taking refuge from their families in the bathroom.

Twenty-three percent of men went as far as saying they consider the bathroom their "safe place."

Study leader Heather Linksky explains, "We all need a little bit of time to ourselves-- to take stock or switch off completely. And the bathroom appears to be the go-to place for those moments."
