Happy Birthday, David Hogg.
The Parkland, Fla., teenager has quickly become the recognizable face and voice of gun control after the shooting massacre at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in February.
At the stroke of midnight Thursday, Hogg tweeted: “Now that I’m 18 I can vote will you?”

While Hogg was greeted with initial good will as a victim of a traumatic event, the gloves have slowly been coming off from political opponents and critics of his over-the-top rhetoric. And with him now of legal voting age, opponents are stepping up their criticism of Hogg.
Nearly 10,000 users have retweeted Hogg’s birthday proclamation, many of which are very critical of the teen.
