VIDEO: Man grabs suspicious package, gets tackled by police

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — An investigation into a suspicious package left in the middle of a Milwaukee street took a very strange turn  on Monday.

Police were called around 7 a.m. after reports of a backpack left unattended in a busy street. They put up crime scene tape and called in the bomb squad, but while they were waiting, a curious cyclist decided to take matters into his own hands.

Video shows the man crossing the yellow police tape and start rummaging through the suspicious bag! He tosses items out left and right onto the ground, almost as if he was looking for something specific. When he’s finally done, police jump him from behind and tackle him to the ground.

The bad news? That man could be facing several charges. The good news? Nothing harmful was inside the bag.
