Florida judge rules Antonio Brown can remove ankle monitor

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A judge ruled Tuesday that NFL free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown could remove his ankle to travel the country following his arrest on battery and burglary charges last week, according to WTVJ in Miami.

Broward County Circuit Judge Michael Usan said Brown cannot leave the country and must call in daily to pretrial services. According to The Associated Press, the judge allowed Brown to be released from house arrest, as well, in order to fulfill contracts with ESPN and comedian Kevin Hart.

Brown, 31, was released on $110,000 bond Friday, WTVJ reported. He was originally ordered to wear a GPS monitor, undergo a mental health evaluation and drug and alcohol testing upon his release.

Brown was arrested after a fight involving the driver of a moving truck parked outside Brown's home in Hollywood, Florida. The truck was carrying some of Brown's possessions from California, WTVJ reported.

According to Broward County court records, Brown is charged with one count of burglary with battery, one count of burglary of an occupied conveyance and one count of criminal mischief. Brown’s trainer, Glenn Holt, is also facing one count of burglary with battery, the television station reported.
