YACOLT, WASHINGTON — A 16-year-old girl is lucky to be alive after her friend pushed her from a 60-foot high bridge over Moulton Falls in Washington.
Cellphone video, posted to YouTube by user Ashley Mahree, shows the girl with a group of friends hanging out on the ledge of the bridge. When the girl (identified by The Sun as Jordan Holgerson) hesitates to jump, one of people behind her shoves her over, sending her into the river below.
Someone had to swim out and rescue her. She was immediately taken to the hospital, suffering five broken ribs and a lung injury, according to KATU.
"My daughter's gonna have a long road to recovery and I think that she should probably just turn herself in - realize what she did wrong. This is not okay. She could have killed my daughter," the victim’s mother says.
No word on if the friend will face any charges.
