ORLANDO, FL — University of Central Florida students on Thursday will hold a candlelight vigil to honor the one year anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL.
The vigil will include remarks from UCF students who survived the shooting, as well as performances from the UCF Glee Club and others.
More than 400 former Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students are currently enrolled at UCF, according to a release by the school today.
The school said they will also have a support workshop event and counselors will be on campus all day to help with any mental health issues.
The vigil will start at 6 p.m. at the Memory Mall on UCF’s campus.
