Cape Canaveral, Fla. — A day after the successful abort test of it's Crew Dragon capsule, SpaceX test fired a Falcon 9 rocket at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, but announced it will not target a Tuesday liftoff as planned due to poor weather conditions.
On twitter the space company said, "Due to extreme weather in the recovery area, team is evaluating best launch opportunity." The launch was previously scheduled for 11:59 a.m. Tuesday.
The recovery area is in the Atlantic Ocean where the 'Of Course I Still Love You' drone ship waits for the rocket's first stage boosters to return.
The Falcon 9 has a payload of 60 Starlink satellites that will join the constellation of 180 others already in orbit. The Spacex Starlink satellite is designed to bring Internet connectivity to earth.
