Sheriff: Man killed wife, 3 kids and family dog inside Celebration home

Osceola County, Fla — A Connecticut man confessed Wednesday, to killing his wife, three young children and the family dog in late December at their Celebration home , according to Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson.

During a news conference, Gibson said Anthony Todt told detectives he killed his 42 year old wife Megan, their sons, Alek 13, Tyler 11, and their daughter, Zoe Todt, 4, as well as the family dog.

Deputies assisted Health and Human Services agents in serving an arrest warrant at the Celebration home Monday morning and discovered the bodies.

Gibson said the remains have not been positively identified, but detectives believe them to be those of Todt’s wife and children.

Todt, who was at home at the time, was escorted to the Osceola County Jail Wednesday and is said to be fully cooperating with investigators.

Gibson said deputies were previously called to the home to conduct a well-being check after a relative said she had not heard from them in two days.  Deputies did not make contact with the family and nothing appeared to be suspicious.

Todt was arrested on a warrant for multiple counts of homicide one count of animal cruelty.
