CHULUOTA, FL — A judge on Thursday set the bond for Grant Amato, the Seminole County man accused of murdering his family.
Amato’s bond in total is $750,000, or $250,000 for each count of first degree murder he is facing.
As part of the bond agreement, Amato will have to wear a GPS monitor, and will only be allowed to travel to Orange, Lake, Brevard and Volusia Counties. He also cannot access computers or anything involving data. Amato is also forbidden from making any contact with his brother.
Investigators said Amato fought with his family prior to the murder because he stole $200,000 to wire to a Bulgarian call girl he met on the internet. His family was found dead inside their Chuluota home in January.
Amato is facing three counts of first degree murder. He is facing the death penalty if convicted.
