Puppy saved after getting her head stuck in a cinder block

Fifi, a six month old Rottweiler puppy, was sniffing around her yard in Hastings when she stuck her head into a cinder block and it got stuck.

Fifi's owner tried to help, but was unable to get her free.

The St. John's Sheriff's Office responded to the call, and used soap and water, but they couldn't get Fifi's head out either.

When firefighters from St. John's Fire Rescue arrived, they decided on a bold move - to use their Jaws of Life as a last resort.

It worked.

They were able to crack the cinder block and free the furry little pup from her precarious situation.

St. John's Fire rescue says Fifi wasn't injured and is back again sniffing around her yard.
