Police officers, demonstrators, march together in Kissimmee against police brutality

Osceola County, Fla. — Kissimmee Police Chief Jeff O’Dell said he heard community leaders were planning the march and immediately reached out to organizers to let them know the Kissimmee Police Department wanted to march alongside them.

Chief O’Dell said he wanted to do something bigger than just releasing a statement. Officers with the St Cloud Police department and members of the Osceola County sheriff's dept also marched, saying on twitter they stand with their community in solidarity against any police misconduct.

Protesters at the march said they are glad to have law enforcement with them.

Police met with demonstrators at the Kissimmee Civic Center and then marched through downtown to the Kissimmee Police Department.
