COCOA, Fla. — One person is dead in Cocoa after crashing their car into a utility pole on a residential street, splitting the vehicle in half.

Cocoa police say that the driver died at the scene, on School Street near the historic Cocoa Village.

Officers have not yet publicly identified the driver at the time of this report, nor have they said what they believe led to the crash.
