ORLANDO, Fla. — Police have charged Israel Landrau Marchis, 48, with the Nov. 18, 2017 armed robbery of the Race Trac at 5405 S. Semoran Blvd. He is expected to be charged with five more similar crimes up and down the busy Orlando roadway.
At times, he would disguise himself with a surgical mask. Other times he would just walk into a busy store and pull out a gun, demanding cash, police said.
Detective David Osso told reporters that five of the robberies occurred in the last three weeks.
Police considered the suspect dangerous.
“He did commit a robbery during the middle of the day, in a crowded store and he did pull out a handgun,” said Osso.
