Orlando man killed in fatal road rage crash on State Road 528

Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a red car involved in a fatal crash on the beachline that killed an Orlando man Saturday evening.

It happened on the Brevard County side of State Road 528 around 7:20 p.m. Witnesses say a blue Ford Mustang and another red car were traveling east on the 528 and seemed to be involved in a road rage incident when the red car hit the Mustang and then left.

Troopers say the impact caused the Mustang to swerve into the westbound lanes and ended up crashing into an SUV.

The driver of the Mustang has been identified as 58 year old Jeffrey Brookshire of Orlando. Brookshire died at the hospital while his passenger, a 26 year old woman is in critical condition.

Troopers are actively looking for the red car, which they say may be a Dodge Charger, but have not confirmed that. The car has an "Endless summer" style license plate with a sticker on the back that says "Hammock Hippy."
