An Orange County teen is facing animal cruelty charges after deputies say he was seen on a video posted social media that showed him hurling a cat into the air by its tail.
Kelvin Colon, 19, was arrested Tuesday after investigators found the video.
ARRESTED: Kelvin Colon, 19, on one count of felony Cruelty to Animals. He was filmed flinging a cat into the air by its tail & video was posted on social media. OPD and OCSO investigated, and he was arrested on a warrant this morning.

Within hours of Colon’s arrest, a sergeant with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Agricultural Crimes Unit spoke about animal cruelty.
