Orlando, Fla. - Police in Orlando want to know who is responsible for leaving a newborn baby on the doorstep of an Orlando apartment complex Saturday morning.
They say around 10 a.m., the 1 day old baby was found wrapped in a T-shirt at the Willow Key Apartments on Arnold Palmer Drive. The baby was taken to the hospital in good health.
Investigators along with the Department of Children and Families are looking into the incident. Police want to remind everyone of Florida's safe haven law. If you are unable to care for a newborn baby within seven days after they were born, you can drop them off at a local hospital or fire station and you won't face any criminal charges.
