Never forget:Orlando firefighters climb 110 floors to remember 9/11

Orlando. Fla. — Wearing full gear, a crew from the Orlando Fire Department climbed 110 flights of stairs yesterday in memory of the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice 18 years ago today.

The 110 flights represent the floors inside the World Trade Center.

The group shared the effort on twitter with the hashtag  #NeverForget.

A series of four coordinated attacks on the United State were carried out by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001 killing 2,996 people and injuring more than 6,000.

Additional people have died from cancer and respiratory disease in the months and years following the attacks which caused at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage.
