5 infants are confirmed to have COVID-19 and a 28-year-old dies

Orlando, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis said in a news conference Tuesday,  that more young people are testing positive for COVID-19 or the coronavirus, now Central Florida has reported  that five infants tested positive for the disease.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that four of the babies are in Orange County and one is in Osceola.

Two of the babies are over the age of one and the other three are younger.

Additionally, a Stetson University student has also been hospitalized with the virus.

The female student reportedly worked at a baseball game at Melching Field on March 11 and attended a sorority meeting on the 16th, according to a new release.

The university has notified individuals who may have been in contact with the student and asked them to monitor their symptoms.

City officials are also following infectious disease protocol.

And sadly, a 28-year-old Sarasota County man has become the youngest person in Florida to die from the virus.

Not many details have been released except he passed away at Sarasota Memorial Hospital Tuesday.

He was the third person to die from COVID-19 at that hospital.
