Orlando, Fla. — Two adults and two children have been taken to the hospital following a crash at a bus stop on Silver Star Road Friday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the van was heading east when it hit all four people near the intersection of North Powers Drive just before 8 a.m. Lt. Kim Montes says two siblings were waiting on a Lynx bus to take them to school.
The driver says he was moving over to avoid traffic when he lost control and hopped the curb. One of the children hit was a 10 year old boy who suffered a collapsed lung. The boy has been taken to intensive care at Arnold Palmer, where his recovery is expected to last for months.
Troopers say that charges are pending against the driver of the van.
