The FDA is rolling out more than a dozen new warnings for packs of cigarettes.
The proposed displays include graphic pictures and dire warnings about the health effects of smoking and second-hand smoke on lungs, the heart, eyesight and blood circulation.
One picture features a young child wearing an oxygen mask.
Another depicts a middle aged woman with a large tumor on her neck.
The FDA will take public comments on the proposed warnings for two months before publishing a final rule next spring.
