Fake Orange County utility workers rob elderly woman

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Orange County Sheriff's Office is warning citizens to be wary of an on-going trend of distraction style burglaries involving several suspects targeting elderly people across central Florida.

Deputies say the pictured suspect knocked on the elderly victim’s door on Jan. 25th stating he was with Orange County Utilities and needed to test the water. The victim allowed the suspect in her home to complete this test.

The suspect lured the victim into the bathroom distracting her while a second suspect stole a large amount of the victim’s jewelry located in the master bedroom.

The pictured suspect is described as a White Hispanic Male, late 30’s to early 40’s, 5’08”, 170 lbs., brown hair, and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt and blue jacket.
