Orlando, Fla. — A 15 year old student at Evans High School in Orange County has been arrested after allegedly bringing a stolen gun to school Friday afternoon.
At around 12:15 p.m. school resource officers received a tip about an armed student on campus and were able to identify the suspect and attempt to arrest him. The student fled on foot but with the help of nearby patrol personnel, was quickly arrested without incident.
They learned the student, Darius Fudge was found with a stolen .380 handgun. Fudge now faces three felony charges and one misdemeanor charges.
In a voicemail sent out to parents, the principal thanked the students who reported the incident, and is asking everyone to always say something if they see something.
