Disney's Animal Kingdom celebrates its 20th anniversary on Earth Day

Orlando, Fla. — This year marks the 20th anniversary of Disney's Animal kingdom, and the park plans to kick things off with a Party for the Planet Celebration.

The Party for the Planet festivities will kick off in front of the Tree of Life, featuring music, dancers and of course, Disney characters. During this anniversary, a brand new show will make its debut: "Up! A Great Bird Adventure", which features characters from the Disney Pixar Animated movie Up.

There will also be exclusive PhotoPass Opportunities located around the park, where frames that are part of the "Reverse the Decline" campaign can be found, which highlight animals supported by the Disney Conservation Fund.

In addition, if you are one of those collecting types, you can be sure to keep an eye out of exclusive 20th anniversary merchandise, a special edition menu located at Tiffins, themed sweets, and of course, new Penny Press designs.

The Annual Earth Day Celebration event will run from April 22nd to May 5th.
