Volusia County, Fla. — One adult and 11 students were arrested Thursday afternoon after a fight broke out at Atlantic High School in Port Orange.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, three different law enforcement agencies responded to the school at about noon.
Two of the teens were charged with probation violations, investigators said.
The adult arrested was charged for trespassing on campus. Deputies said the man is accused of bringing brass knuckles to the school.
The school was placed on a lockdown as a precaution. Extra law enforcement was in place Thursday for a basketball game at the high school, and will continue on Friday.
One person was taken to a hospital for chest pain. Deputies said no other weapons were found and no students were seriously injured.
