Orlando, Fla. — As the number of coronavirus cases increase across the country and across central Florida, leaders from Orange and Osceola counties implemented a curfew beginning Friday night at 11p.m.
Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said the Sheriff’s Office will be enforcing the curfew. He said only those required to go out for essential work will be exempt.
"Please be mindful of the curfew and only go out if you are required to do so for work. Other exemptions for the curfew include Central Florida workers like medical personnel, government personnel, first responders, security personnel,” Demings said.
Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson made a similar comment in his news conference.
