City of Orlando calling on citizens to help with new Parks Master Plan

ORLANDO, Fla. — The city of Orlando is in the process of updating its Parks Master Plan and residents are encouraged to weigh in.

Orlando’s Parks Master Plan has not been updated since 2009 and planners within the the Parks Division would like to create a network of parks across Orlando offering a variety of amenities to citizens.

The city has held several public meetings in different districts where citizens were encouraged to give their input on what they would like to see in Orlando’s parks.  One meeting will be held in each of Orlando’s six districts.

The meeting for District 4 and it's set for Tuesday night at the Wadeview Neighborhood Center.

Three more meetings are set for the coming weeks.  The next meeting for District 3 is set for September 24.

The city is also conducting an online survey where residents can share their thoughts.
