Brewery to celebrate Krampus after he is banned from Christmas parade

St. Cloud, Fla. — No doubt - Krampus is very creepy.

In German folklore he is the “half-goat, half-demon” figure who during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved.

The folks at the Phyre Brewery and Tavern had planned to feature the eerie figure in their float during the St. Cloud Christmas Parade on December 7, but, once the Chamber of Commerce discovered the plan they banned Krampus saying he was too scary.

Now the brewery has dedicate the day for their Krampus Festival where patrons are invited to wear their horns and visit with creature himself.

On their web page they call the event Family Friendly.

A second event called Kookies with Krampus will take place at Phyre on December 22.
