Actress and comedian Roseanne Barr has announced she plans to run for president.

Barr who stars in her own reality show is most widely known for her star role in the 90s sitcom "Roseanne", announced the decision late last night on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Barr, who is advocate for the legalization of marijuana, tells Jay Leno "I want to be a part of the debates because I want to represent the taxpayers. In fact, I'm choosing the tax payers as my vice president."

When asked which party ticket she would run on Barr says, "I made up my own party, its America's Green Tea Party".

Barr continued in the interview by saying that she would get rid of money. "They'll be no more money, no more money systems; everything will be based on Barter."

Leno then asked if Barr would be debating with Sarah Palin.“That’s kinda what got me to thinking that I too should run for president, if she can,” Barr said.

Barr's reality show called “Roseanne’s Nuts”, about her attempt to start a nut farm, is in its first season on the Lifetime Network.
