2019 Graduates - Orlando is one of the top cities to start your career

Orlando, Fla — Listen up 2019 graduates, a new study shows Orlando is one of the best cities in the nation to begin a career.

Wallethub.com published the best and worst places to start a career this year and Orlando ranked as the fourth best!

This is big news considering the March unemployment rate was only 3.8 percent.

Even better news; employers plan to hire nearly 17 percent more graduates from the Class of 2019 than they did from the Class of 2018.

The website compared the relative market strength and overall livability of more than 180 U.S. cities.

They used 29 key metrics that range from the availability of entry-level jobs to monthly average starting salary to workforce diversity.

Orlando ranked highest in  Professional Opportunities coming in third and was eighth for Quality of Life.

That averaged out to the fourth best city to start a career, and the top city in Florida.

Tampa is 11th on the list and Miami is 22nd.
