Lake Mary, Fla. — Seminole County deputies gave a 109-year-old woman a birthday surprise Tuesday

Deputies designated Dorothea Nelson an honorary deputy of the Seminole County Sheriff's office and threw her a birthday party complete with a cake and a chance to sit in the back of a patrol car.

Nelson told Channel 9 that she stays healthy by doing Pilates, eats chocolate and drinks a glass of milk every day for lunch.

The 109 year old Nelson lives with her daughter in Lake Mary.
