Mistakes sometimes are made in the operating theater, which is why some patients will leave notes markered on the body part that is undergoing surgery.

A British man is probably wishing he had done something similar before going under the knife for a bladder procedure and ended up having a circumcision instead.

Citing a "never event" report, the UK Metro says the man's paperwork had been mixed up with another's by doctors at the University Hospital of Leicester NHS Trust last September.

Hospital safety director Moira Durbridge apologized, admitting, "We remain deeply and genuinely sorry to those patients involved.”
