Congressman suggests new ageless, sexy state welcome signs

Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz is under fire for suggesting the state change it's welcome signs to read;  "There's no age you can't be sexy."

The lawmaker from Florida's first congressional district made the suggestion on twitter when he shared the quote from singer Bebe Rexha and added, "I say we change Florida's welcome signs to this," and added a finger pointing down toward the singers statement.

Rexha sent the tweet along with a note from a music producer that indicated she was getting too old at the age of 29.

Twitter users were quick to mock Gaetz, age 37,  for his comment and alluded to his past relationship with a 21-year-old college student.

One person commented that it was a “Very creepy statement,” while another said, “I can think of 17 of them.”

He was also called out for his defense of the South Florida prosecutor who gave the late Jeffrey Epstein a plea deal.

One user responded with,  “I’m sure Jeff Epstein said the same thing.”
